Nick Dearling was born in Lapworth and moved to Alcester over 30 years ago. He is married to Cham, and has 2 adult children and 2 grand children.
Now retired from Castrol Ltd, he joined the Town Council at the last election and is Chair of the Amenities Committee. He also chairs the Vision for Alcester Committee and serves as a member of the Recreation Committee.
As a strong believer in building community spirit in the Town he is a member of several organisations including Alcester Court Leet, Alcester-Vallet Twinning Association, Alcester Christmas Lights committee and Alcester Folk Festival. His recreation time is divided between caravanning and sailing and he sailed the Atlantic during the winter of 2008.
He thinks that Alcester is a lively, historic town with a good community spirit and a busy High Street that acts as a focal point. By serving on Alcester Town Council he hopes to build on the town's considerable appeal and help make it even more attractive to both residents and visitors.
