I am a semi-retired Emeritus Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Birmingham, a Chartered Engineer and a member of the Parliamentary Advisory Committee on Transport Safety (see my profile here). I joined the Council in 2011, over concerns about the Greig Hall, and have worked tirelessly on Council business ever since.
I was appointed Mayor in May 2015 and enjoyed my year serving the Community. This year I am the Chairman of the Strategic Planning Committee and leading the work on the Alcester Neighbourhood Plan. I am a member of the Greig Hall Action Committee; a Trustee of the Newport’s Foundation: a member of Alcester Neighbourhood Watch; I represent ATC on the Warwickshire Association of Local Councils (WALC), and from there I have been appointed to the Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP).
