Residents will remember that planning permission was granted on appeal for up to 350 houses on two sites at Allimore Lane despite strong opposition from the Town Council and many residents.
The “reserved matters” applications have now been received by the Town Council. Some residents may also have received notification direct from SDC.
These applications do not deal with the principle of development at this location or matters to do with access and infrastructure. These issues were all passed by the Planning Inspectorate as part of the appeal. They do however deal with all the detail – the appearance of the houses, landscaping, layout and scale.
In order that residents can look at the plans in person, they will be available for viewing at the Jubilee Centre on Saturday 29th April between 10 am and noon.
Everyone is very welcome and the Town Council will be collecting comments from residents so that they can be considered and included if appropriate in the Council’s response to SDC.
