Councillor Chris Gough

I was born in Solihull and have lived in Alcester since 1967. I am married to Ann and we have two sons and three grandchildren. I am a self-employed builder and am involved with the Baptist Church and Church Street Properties Trust.

I have been a Councillor for many years and have had the privilege of serving as Mayor four times, in 1990, 1991, 2004 and 2010. Currently I am part of the Community Care and Community facilities Committees. I joined the Town Council to get the best for the people of Alcester, during my time as Mayor in 2010-2011 we saw the building of the MUGA and also the Jubilee Centre to provide a Youth Club for the youth of Alcester, which cumulated in the “Celebration of Youth” event later that year, a legacy I want to ensure remains for the people of Alcester.
