I was born in Glasgow, spent my early childhood in County Durham and completed my secondary education in Thurso, Caithness.
Married with two daughters, I have lived in Alcester for 25 years. Both my daughters, attended St Faith’s, Alcester High School and completed their A levels at the Grammar School; before going on to university.
I have spent most of my working life in the general insurance industry and qualified as a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute in 1983.
In the past, I have served as a Governor at Alcester High School and as an officer on the Court Leet. For several years, I trained, organised and led High School students on their Duke of Edinburgh Silver award expeditions.
I consider myself fortunate to have lived and brought up my family in Alcester. I value its unique community spirit and the facilities which it has to offer.
