I live in Alcester and I work as a project manager in the civil service. I have been an Alcester town Councillor since 2011 and am a member of the Community Care and Community Facilities Committee. I love being part of this community, and have a lot more I want to give.
One of Alcester’s biggest strengths continues to be its sense of community, and over the last 4 years I have supported and worked to make a success of town events, it makes me very proud that so many people come together to help support the town and enjoy themselves. The events around the Olympics were memorable especially the torch day and the fantastic event on Jubilee fields, a wonderful day.
Teenagers often get a bad press but the ones I have worked with in my role as chair of the Alcester Town Youth Council are hardworking and committed. I am also pleased to have an enthusiastic group of young adults helping both in Drama productions, and in Youth Council projects such as the Junior Cinema Club.
