Councillor Tim Forman

Councillor Tim FormanI was born in Bromsgrove, raised in Redditch and moved to Alcester in 1992 when I met my wife Gill. We have three daughters and two grandsons.

I am a time served mechanical and production engineer with an aerospace background where I progressed to become a production manager but had a career change, some may say mid-life crisis, and moved into teaching where I am currently managing an education team of eighteen staff.

I became a member of Alcester Town Council in March 2017 and am a member of the Planning Committee and the Facilities Committee- the latter of which I am the current Chair.

Outside council life, I enjoy keeping fit and attend Alcester Men’s Sports Club which meets every Wednesday and has been in existence for over thirty-five years. I also attend Alcester Circuits Classes and run regularly on Saturday mornings. I learnt to ski when I was fifty and this has led me to have an annual trip to the mountains to try and improve this skill.

I was High Bailiff of Alcester Court Leet in 2015/2016 and elected Deputy Mayor of Alcester for 2021-22.

My motivation to join the Town Council was to ensure that the facilities of the Town are not only maintained but improved upon where possible. This is still the case and, with the good will of the townspeople we can now re-generate the Greig Hall.
