Councillor Ray Howells
Born and raised in the valleys of South Wales, I had no intention of ever leaving until I found, and fell in love, with our extraordinary town of Alcester.
Before retiring and resettling in Alcester I’d worked in Local Authority for some 17 years, initially in Waste Management, then moving on to Traffic Management and Road Safety Audit.
In my free time I’m an active archer and coach, and in 2018, with help from Alcester Academy, the Town Council and others I was able to set up the popular Bowmen of Alcester.
I’m extremely proud to say I’m a resident of Alcester, and am constantly surprised at how many organisations and people willingly give their time to make our town such a unique, friendly and welcoming place.
I hope that in some small way I can add to the wonderful community spirit of our amazing town.
