Planning Committee

The Planning Committee of Alcester Town Council usually meet monthly on a Monday at 7pm on Zoom.

Members of the public are welcome to attend our meetings. If you wish to attend a Zoom meeting, please contact the Committee Clerk by email: administration@alcester-tc.gov.uk.

Planning applications may sometimes be decided by email meeting if a response is required by SDC outside the time frames of the Planning Committee meeting schedule.

The Planning Committee currently receives a high number of TREE applications due to the presence of the Conservation Area. Councillors felt that they had no real expertise in tree issues and often no access to the site. They also have very little influence on such applications. It was agreed at a meeting on 28 September 2023 that Alcester Town Council would have a standard response to future TREE applications as follows: No representation subject to the Case Officer’s recommendation.

15 January 2024 The Town Council has been advised that the erection of wooden poles around Alcester by Full Fibre Ltd for the provision of ultra-fast broadband is not proceeding in Alcester.
