Representatives from Alcester Town Council will be attending the Stratford District Council West Area Planning Committee meeting on the 15th October 6:15pm to present the objections from Council and the local people regarding the application from Churchill Retirement Living for an appartment complex at 2-6 Priory Road. Local residents are also welcome to attend the meeting at Elizabeth House in Stratford.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984, SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF C203 EVESHAM STREET, ALCESTER

Warwickshire County Council proposes to make a Temporary Traffic Order closing C203 Evesham Street, Alcester from A435 Alcester Bypass to the Swan Street Roundabout to vehicular traffic.

The closure is required for carriageway resurfacing.

The Order will commence on 24 August 2015 and will last for a period of 18 months, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. However, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 28 August 2015.

Pedestrian access to and egress from properties and land situated adjacent to the length of road to be closed will be maintained at all times. Vehicular access will be maintained where possible.

An alternative route will be signed and is available via: Alcester Bypass, Birmingham Road, Priory Road (and in reverse order).

The Contractor dealing with this matter is Paul Kelly for Balfour Beatty (Tel: 01675 467523).

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

THE WARWICKSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS, ALCESTER)
(20MPH ZONE) ORDER 2015

Warwickshire County Council propose to make the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to impose a 20mph zone on the lengths of road mentioned in the Schedule below.

A copy of the proposed Order, together with a plan showing the length of road affected and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be inspected at the Main Reception, Shire Hall, Market Place, Warwick, at the Stratford District Council, Elizabeth House, Church Street, Stratford-upon-Avon and at the Public Library, Priory Road, Alcester during usual opening hours.

Any objections to the proposals, which must be in writing and specify the grounds on which they are made, should be addressed to Mark O’Connell, Communities Group, PO Box 43, Shire Hall, Warwick, CV34 4SX. SCHEDULE (20mph Zone)

(i) Kinwarton Road; from a point 12.5 metres south-west of its junction with Ten Acres in a generally south-westerly direction to its join with Henley Street.

(ii) The Hopkins Precinct; for its entire length.

(iii) Gunnings Road; from both its junctions with Kinwarton Road, in a generally northerly direction for 35m.

(iv) Henley Street; from its join with Kinwarton Road, in a southerly direction to its join with Church Street.

(v) Meeting Lane; for its entire length.

(vi) Tibbets Close; for its entire length.

(vii) Church Street; from its join with Henley Street, in a generally south-westerly direction to its join with High Street.

(viii) Butter Street; for its entire length.

(ix) High Street; from its join with Church Street, in a south-westerly direction to its junction with Stratford Road.
